The most enjoyable activities I did on my visit to Chiang Mai

Eating a kantoke dinner

Experiencing the Northern Thai food and culture at the same time was one of the best times of my visit. The even haves the participants sit on floor around a circular tray. The tray is full of Thai dishes while Traditional Thai and Northern Thai dance performances and culture shows of the hill tribes are on the lineup.

Cruising down the river

The beautiful scenery at the center of the city was even more stunning when experienced while cruising down the Mae Ping. The two-hour journey only stopped at a local farm where the passengers witness the herbs and fruit gardens. You can also opt to stay in the boat and have a Thai dinner while the others enjoy the farm. A one-way ticket cost 240 baht and a round trip costs 450 baht.

Chatting with the monks

We heard about it by a friend and thought it would be a great chance to get insight on the religion and culture of Thai people. You can chat with a monk on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Mondays every week, between 1 pm and 3 pm at Wat Dok Suthep. The monk are very lively, and are the most authentic when it comes to getting prime knowledge about the culture.
